Estimates only. A horse with an exceptional record, top bloodlines or veterinary issues can sit well outside this range.
Tips before you buy
- Always book an independent vet; a 5-stage vetting is the standard for anything you plan to compete or insure for vet fees.
- Ask for the passport, competition record and any previous X-rays.
- See the horse at least twice, including tacked up and hacked out.
- Then plan running costs with the horse cost calculator.
